World Doula Week 2023: Meet Meaghann
As we close out World Doula Week 🌎 , we are going to be sharing a little bit from Meaghann + Taryn, the duo who started Daybreak!✨
“Hi I’m Meaghann, it’s been a while since I’ve introduced myself but a lot of you have been with me since the beginning of this account and when I was a brand new doula 4 years ago!
I became a doula 6 months after my first child was born. Having doula support as a first time mom was absolutely everything for me & my husband. We couldn’t believe that there are actually so many out there that either didn’t have doula support, or better yet, didn’t even know what a doula was! Seeing the need for support for birthing families grew dear to my heart and I knew that this was exactly what I was meant to do.
When I think about those I have supported since then, I can’t help but get misty eyed knowing that even though all of their journeys have been different, they’re all able to know they had my support in their corner as they stepped into new phases of their lives! My hope is that each family I serve is able to pass on the legacy of fearing birth less & entering into parenthood feeling supported, empowered & confident.
3 things I love most about being a doula:
🤍The opportunity be there for families on one of THE most life-changing & significant days of their lives!
🤍That middle of the night phone call that it’s go-time!
🤍Coaching through the “transition” stage of labor-seeing my clients harness & step into their power!
Becoming a doula has been one of the biggest blessings in my life. I’m so grateful for each and every family that has welcomed me & trusted me in such a deeply intimate space as they’ve birthed not only their little ones but new versions of themselves.
Thank you to each client & each supporter I have had on my doula journey from “then” to “now”- I appreciate you!”
