World Doula Week 2023: Meet Taryn

As we close out World Doula Week 🌎, we are going to be sharing a little bit from Meaghann + Taryn, the duo who started Daybreak! ✨

“Hi I’m Taryn, 👋🏼 Can I just start out by saying I’m so thankful for Meaghann and the business we have built together… seriously wouldn’t be where I am today without her AND the families & friends who have supported us.

From as young as I can remember, I have always had a strong pull to be involved in labor and delivery. After moving cross-country put a hold on my schooling to get a nursing degree, I discovered that doulas exist and what type of work they do. This was a light-bulb moment for me and I soon realized this was actually the birthwork I had been dreaming about all along.

Three reasons why I love being a doula:

🖤 The relationships/friendships that have come out of supporting many amazing families

🖤 Witnessing how empowered a woman can be & how proud their partner is of them

🖤 Being someone’s comfort blanket, making a difference in how a woman views their birth experience

Being a doula is infinitely rewarding in so many ways. There’s nothing like witnessing the miracle of childbirth over and over again. I want to say thank you to the families I have served in the past, currently, and in the future - y’all hold a very special place in my heart 🤍”
